About Amanda Halliwell
Amanda Halliwell: London Watercolour Artist & Mixed Media Creator
Amanda is a London-based watercolour and mixed media painter. Building on a lifetime’s experience of different styles and mediums, Amanda has settled on clear-cut, bold and colourful stylizations of the patterns and rhythms she sees in flowers and foliage. She enjoys creating texture, sometimes with granulating paint, often by creating the same compositions on larger, busier backgrounds using ink, acrylic, gouache and sometimes pearlescents or metallics. The cost of shipping is included to UK addresses. We ship worldwide and will advise you of the cost for shipping outside the UK at the time of your purchase.
Originals and prints will usually arrive within 3 to 4 weeks of the order. We will advise you of any potential difference to this, for example when shipping to addresses outside the UK.
Originals and prints are carefully packaged to ensure complete protection.
Prints size A3 and above are posted in a postal tube. Originals may be posted in a tube or flat, which we will determine by first assessing any limitations imposed by postal services.
Each print is wrapped in acid free tissue paper, then in paper, longer than the prints to protect the edges while inside the tube. This roll is taped to stop the prints from unwinding and filling out the tube, so that it’s easier for you to remove. Everything inside the postal tube is recyclable. The only plastic element is the postal tube end cap.
You certainly can! Email or DM Amanda via her Instagram to talk about what you have in mind, or discuss what might work best for your space/s. Commissions are accepted for work in a similar vein and size. Our initial consultation will discuss what you would like, when you need it by, and the price. Pricing is per individual work and reflects level of complexity and details, size, completion timeframe for your art work and much more. There a few things you could have a think about before we discuss your painting, such as:
- what size are you looking for, and what is the size of the space/s you’re thinking of hanging it/them in your home
- are you looking for one of my clean, white backgrounds, or the more abstract, expressive type?
- do you need the painting for a particular date?
When placing an order I will require a 25% non-refundable holding fee which gives you a space in my calendar and covers the cost of my materials for your work. This counts towards the final price and is not an extra charge.
Once this 25% fee is received, you will be booked in and given an artwork completion date. I will contact you again one month before your final payment is due as a reminder. I will contact you again two weeks before I start the work for the remaining 75% payment and issue an invoice. This should be paid within 2 weeks of the invoice date. If cleared funds are not received within that 2 week period, I’m afraid I will need to cancel your order and move on to the next commission. This process helps me to make sure that other clients’ bookings are not disrupted.
If you’d like to pay with a payment plan that can be arranged. It works like this. The agreed cost of your artwork is divided into weekly or two-weekly payments finishing 2 weeks before the date I’m due to start on your piece. All payments made on the payment plan are also non-refundable and the total amount must be settled and cleared within 2 weeks of the date of the final invoice, to avoid cancellation.
